This is BEAUTIFUL! You should be very proud :) I really want to try doing a photo manip soon, but I don't know what to use. What program did you use on this? I know i have to merge photos somehow but I'm not sure how. Beautiful work :)

Very nice idea for a photomanip and one the better done mermaids I've seen in awhile! :D

The biggest thing this image is lacking is some more contrasting lighting! Moonlight hits EVERYTHING. Some reflections on the water surface, the rock and reflecting on her would be a beautiful addition I think. Also a little bit of shadow on the rock beneath where she is sitting would give her a more grounded appearance.

well thank you very much and thank you for the suggestions. i will definitely do them (once im done with finals ;)). those things have been bothering me about this piece but i never knew what specifically i needed to change.

Another bit of advice is to look up photo references if you're ever not sure too. I do this LOTS. In fact that's how I came across your work. Was browsing for some reference on lighting of rocks at night. SO you learn and find new wonderful art! Beautiful photography you have!
