HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!

FYI FOR ANYONE VISITING NYC IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS!!!
The Statue of Liberty's crown is open again for the first time since 9/11 and will be for only 2 years after which they are remodeling the entire interior for safety purposes. GO SEE IT NOW! IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

So as of two weeks ago, i am officially graduated from high school and i have half-way transitioned into real life. I just finished filling out my course schedule for my first semester at college. wow. As many of my watchers have probably noticed, i have been a little snap happy with my camera. With the 4th of July fireworks and birds and flowers i am in HEAVEN! i cannot believe how comfortable the swallows have gotten with me. i stood for about an hour right next to their house where they have three half-grown chicks. they used to constantly dive bomb me but now they just ignore me. it is AWESOME! i also discovered that spiders, while scary as hell, are amazing subjects to photograph... sort of. with my macro lens' focus, i have to get within 4 inches of a subject. slightly terrifying when that involves essentially placing my camera in the web. Anyways, here are a few of the deviations i have recently uploaded.

Wow, thanks for the feature!!! Congrats on graduating, and on getting the nerve to photograph spiders. I love bugs! Your firework photos are amazing too! I have to live this 4th with no camera as its at the camera resurrector as it died on me.. probably looking at first week of August before I get it back

you are most welcome! i love giving relatively undiscovered artists the attention they deserve. the bugs are fun if a little too close for comfort. good luck with the camera. thats too bad that you won't have it for a while. i think i would die. my soul is in my camera

Well thanks again, it really made me smile and I have had a rough couple of days lately it seems!

Yeah it has been rough without my camera. I am trying to find a reasonable point and shoot but I just HATE the delay when you take pictures with them. I have been spoiled with my SLR but I honestly do not see me going another week without some kind of camera even if a cheap p&s.
